Citrus in Iceland: 15 units tested over 5 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Iceland.
Where buyers go wrong with citrus in Iceland
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Iceland that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ISK3.16 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at citrus in Iceland, the first question is not strength. It is whether the nicotine salt bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: citrus in Iceland works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus nicotine salt bottle really costs in Iceland
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Iceland that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ISK3.16 per 10 ml.
How we tested citrus in a nicotine salt bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Iceland, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–8 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Iceland.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Iceland need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for citrus in Iceland must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
How long does citrus in a nicotine salt bottle last?
In Iceland we measured 5 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On citrus the budget price and the premium price can sit within ISK3.16 per 10 ml once 4–8 business days is counted.
