Melon in Iceland: 19 units tested over 8 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Iceland.
How we tested Melon mesh tank here
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Iceland that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ISK3.23 per 10 ml.
The honest read on melon: 19 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon mesh tank really costs in Iceland
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Iceland that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ISK3.23 per 10 ml.
How we tested melon in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–8 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where melon goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long melon in Iceland survives.
- Treating the advertised ISK55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ISK3.23 per 10 ml.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should melon start at?
Start at whatever Iceland allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
Is melon legal to sell in Iceland?
Iceland caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml and requires a nicotine licence to sell.
