If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear RDA really costs in Iceland
We run pear the same way in Iceland: same RDA, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested pear in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Iceland, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–8 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Iceland, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into Iceland.
Where pear goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in Iceland survives.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for pear in Iceland must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Iceland caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml and requires a nicotine licence to sell. Shipping of nicotine to Iceland runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does pear in a RDA last?
In Iceland we measured 2 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is pear legal to sell in Iceland?
Iceland caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml and requires a nicotine licence to sell.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
