Plain in Iceland: 9 units tested over 4 weeks, disposable vape formats, priced per 10 ml for Iceland.
Coil life, liquid cost and the plain habit
We run plain the same way in Iceland: same disposable vape, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A plain disposable vape from the best options in Iceland costs about ISK2.27 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, disposable vape, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain disposable vape really costs in Iceland
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Iceland that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ISK2.27 per 10 ml.
How we tested plain in a disposable vape
- Pick the disposable vape that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the disposable vape, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Iceland.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–8 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where plain goes wrong
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a disposable vape that then needs an adapter nobody in Iceland stocks.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever Iceland allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a disposable vape.
How long does plain in a disposable vape last?
In Iceland we measured 4 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the disposable vape units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
