Where buyers go wrong with salted in Iceland
Salted in Iceland reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.

If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted 30 ml shortfill really costs in Iceland
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Iceland that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ISK2.05 per 10 ml.
How we tested salted in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Iceland, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where salted goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a 30 ml shortfill that then needs an adapter nobody in Iceland stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for salted in Iceland must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Iceland caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml and requires a nicotine licence to sell.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a 30 ml shortfill cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Iceland: about ISK2.05 per 10 ml liquid plus ISK55 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On salted the budget price and the premium price can sit within ISK2.05 per 10 ml once 4–8 business days is counted.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
