Tobacco box mod Vape Meet in Iceland: the price shortlist
Tobacco in Iceland: 22 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Iceland.
Delivery, returns and what 4–8 business days really means
Tobacco in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Iceland the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Tobacco sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: tobacco in Iceland works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tobacco box mod really costs in Iceland
Tobacco sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested tobacco in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Iceland, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–8 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–8 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ISK42 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ISK2.05 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tobacco in Iceland survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Iceland sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should tobacco start at?
Start at whatever Iceland allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On tobacco the budget price and the premium price can sit within ISK2.05 per 10 ml once 4–8 business days is counted.
