The honest read on coffee: 14 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, sub-ohm kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a coffee sub-ohm kit really costs in Iceland
A coffee sub-ohm kit from the cheapest options in Iceland costs about ISK1.65 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested coffee in a sub-ohm kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Iceland, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every coffee bottle shipped into Iceland.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Iceland, not a suggestion.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest sub-ohm kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ISK40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ISK1.65 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a sub-ohm kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Iceland caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml and requires a nicotine licence to sell.
Retail sales in Iceland sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does coffee taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the coffee blend itself harsh.
How long does coffee in a sub-ohm kit last?
In Iceland we measured 5 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a sub-ohm kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Iceland: about ISK1.65 per 10 ml liquid plus ISK40 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
